Initial Understanding / Target Audience Profiling / Research
Starting out this was a one pager site while we were in competition with tutoring companies who have been into existence for over a decade and have extensive websites! So, we started first with gathering greater insights into our client’s target audience, which was parents of 8th and 9th graders based in New York.
Competitor Analysis and planning our SEO Game Plan
We then moved to analysing our competitors, their web pages and the kind of content they were posting
Since there was primarily one exam that our client focused on which is SHSAT, it was important for us to understand this exam in greater detail and its significance to the target audience.
We knew looking at our competition that just doing 1 webpage on SHSAT prep/tutoring won’t get results
Further, we also realised that we would have to generate a lot of informative content to create visibility amongst the target audience and win their trust as us being the subject matter expert in this field.

Along with the above, we kept creating high quality backlinks for both our webpage and blogs. This further helped us in increasing the website’s credibility.
