Most SAP consultancies still optimize for Google rankings, but buyers are increasingly asking ChatGPT, Gemini, and AI Overviews "who should I talk to for S/4HANA migration." A boutique firm with a thin digital footprint can't out-content the big players overnight. This pilot set out to prove that with the right foundational signals, it's possible to earn AI visibility in weeks, not years.

The Objective
- Validate, through a time-boxed pilot, whether the firm could gain visibility on AI platforms (ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Gemini, Claude) for high-intent SAP/S4HANA service prompts.
- Establish a foundational, systematized brand presence that AI platforms could reliably discover and cite.
- Prove the concept in 6 weeks before committing to a longer-term engagement.

The Competition
Mid-sized SAP consultancies with more established digital footprints and years of accumulated third-party citations the challenge was earning AI visibility fast, without the luxury of years of content history.

The Result
The Results (6-week pilot):
- 12 of 20 tracked prompts returned the client across AI platforms (ChatGPT, Gemini, AI Overviews, Claude)
- Achieved cross-platform presence
- Delivered strong enough proof-of-concept for the client to greenlight a full engagement
The Strategy (4 pillars):
Diagnostic AI visibility audit —
Mapped who was currently ranking/being cited for the client’s core prompt set, analyzed what kind of content was getting surfaced (competitor sites vs. third-party platforms vs. directories), and identified where the client had visibility gaps versus competitors. Findings were compiled into an analytical deck highlighting key opportunity areas.
Systematized brand positioning (“boilerplate” standardization)
Built a master positioning sheet defining consistent, accurate language about the client’s services, used it to align messaging across their website, third-party ERP research platforms, partner directories, and local listings. Updated and strengthened their presence on LinkedIn, Google Business Profile, and relevant third-party citation sources to build the kind of consistent entity signal AI platforms rely on.
Homepage revamp for discoverability
The existing homepage conveyed little about the company’s actual expertise. Rebuilt it end-to-end — content and design — to clearly establish category authority and service depth, paired with on-page SEO hygiene and technical SEO fixes to give AI crawlers and search engines a clean, well-structured foundation.
Foundational structure over quick wins
Rather than chasing a few isolated prompt wins, the approach prioritized building durable AI/SEO infrastructure, the kind that compounds visibility over time rather than needing to be rebuilt for every new prompt or platform.
