Crรจme Castle, a fast-growing D2C bakery brand with 20+ outlets in Delhi NCR, set out with a clear goal: to dominate Google search results for high-intent, celebration-based keywords such as โ€œanniversary/birthday/wedding cakesโ€ and drive qualified, location-specific traffic that leads to conversions.

We began by understanding their USPs including over 5,000 unique cake designs, custom cake delivery in just 2 hours, and a vision to expand across India. This helped us craft an SEO strategy that supported their business and brand goals.

We conducted a comprehensive SEO audit, assessing the siteโ€™s technical structure, UX, page speed, and content quality. This was followed by deep keyword research and competitor benchmarking to identify high-potential search terms within the celebration and occasion-based cake segment.

      2Competitor Analysis and planning our SEO Game Plan

      To conquer the front page, its important to know who is ruling the front page and map out their SEO strategy, their possible keyword universe, understand their backlink profiling etc. The client had stiff competition from other high end landscape design companies who had been on the front page of most search engines for years.

      Hence, we had to do more than what we saw the competitors do. We researched to find some loopholes in the SEO of the existing competitors and take advantage of that.

      3Breaking down the Landscaping service into โ€œspecificโ€ service pages to target important keywords

      In the physical world, if you have to target different cities you erect different physical billboards in different cities. Think of service pages to be your online billboards that need to be erected/added to your website to target the local audiences in a more specific manner. Hence we broke down the landscape design services into more keyword specific services like โ€œRooftop and Terrace Garden Designโ€, โ€œBackyard and Patio Design”, โ€œTownhouse Garden Designโ€, โ€œBrownstone Garden Designโ€, “Pergola Designโ€.

      These targeted and keyword oriented service pages were ย meticulously designed, fully optimized and added to the website to establish to the search engines that our client is the Subject Matter Expert in these areas. Coupled with our manual indexing process, we were able to have Google quickly crawl and index each of these service pages and rank them on the front page!

      4Image SEO

      High end landscape designing industry is a very visual industry. Beautiful real images of the creative work gets the attention of the audiences faster than long form texts written on the website. The client had stiff competition from other asphalt companies who had been on the front page of most search engines for years. Hence, we had to do something different that would knock off competition. We researched to find some loopholes in the SEO of the existing competitors and take advantage of that.

            Adding multiple location pages/landing pages/city based pages to target local audience

            In the physical world, if you have to target different cities you erect different physical billboards in different cities. Think of location pages/city-based pages to be your online billboards that need to be erected/added to your website to target the local audiences of each city that you wish to offer services in. Hence meticulously designed location pages were added and optimized for each city and service that the client wanted to offer in that city. With our manual indexing process, we were able to have Google quickly crawl and index each of these location pages and rank them on the front page!

            Google My Business Profile

            The clientโ€™s GMB profile was dormant. We had to revive the same and optimize it smartly. Client worked with us to get Google reviews posted on his GMB profile and we kept the profile buzzing by adding relevant GMB posts. Lo and behold, the clientโ€™s GMB profile was ranking in the 3-pack section (map section) of the Google front page for most of the keywords that we targeted.

            Off-Page SEO/Backlinks

            Since our competition was with larger franchises, we ensured very high quality backlinking/off page SEO for our client to ensure that we can capture and retain the top few positions on the Google front page.

                    Our SEO strategy for To Be Or Not To Act

                    Detailed SEO Audit, Competitor Analysis and Keyword Research

                    Since the website was not being ranked by the Search Engines, we started our work with a comprehensive SEO Audit of the website. Our market analysis team conducted a detailed study of the competing websites that were being awarded top positions by Google.

                    This served two purposes:

                    • It provided us insights into the website from an On-Page SEO perspective
                    • Helped us identify potential gaps and areas of improvement

                    Detailed Keyword research was done to ensure that we were targeting relevant search terms keeping in view the clientโ€™s audience.

                    Based on the above, we drew up our recommendations for the client that included both technical and content related improvements.

                    Re-Writing Website Copy and New Page Suggestions

                    The existing website pages were thin on content. We had to ensure that each existing page was enriched with sufficient, high quality content for Google to Index and for us to create keyword rich internal anchors. New web pages were also created and added to the site to cover relevant keywords in a more lazer-focused manner.

                    On – Page Optimization

                    The on-page optimization for To Be Or Not to Act was done meticulously. From your basic meta title/descriptions, headers, image optimizations, schemas to the deploying of 15+ years of understanding in what works best in which situation for on-page optimizations. We created internal links using keyword-rich anchor text and ensured that each page had relevant internal links pointing to and from it. We used a variety of primary and secondary keywords, being very careful to not over-use any keyphrase.

                    Off – Page Strategy

                    Our competitor analysis revealed the kind of off-page SEO efforts that the clientโ€™s competitors were undertaking. Our strategy was to spread our clientโ€™s online wings into multiple high Domain Authority platforms. Aggressive yet relevant and good quality backlinks were created for the client.

                    Google My Business (GMB) Optimization

                    To create geo-specific visibility, GMB optimization strategy was prepared. GMB profile was updated and fully optimized and kept alive with regular posts and reviews. This helped in creation of Brand presence at the target location.
